Tarun

Tarun is an accomplished sports law academic and practitioner, widely recognized for his impactful contributions to the development and promotion of sports law education and practice in India and beyond. With a dynamic career spanning over eight years, Tarun currently serves as an Assistant Professor (Research) at the prestigious Gujarat National Law University (GNLU) in Gandhinagar, India, where he specializes in sports law research, teaching, and consultancy. Prior to his current role, he also served as a Teaching and Research Associate at GNLU, building a strong foundation for his academic and professional journey.
In addition to his academic endeavors, Tarun is the Co-Founder of Doctrina Ludus, a pioneering platform dedicated to educating students, young professionals, and industry stakeholders about the multifaceted world of sports law.
Tarun’s expertise and thought leadership in the field have earned him national and international recognition. He has been invited to deliver over eight specialized courses and 30+ webinars and guest lectures at esteemed institutions such as AISTS India, Jindal Global Law School, Kathmandu University School of Law, Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad, and Mumbai University, among others. His sessions are noted for their depth, clarity, and practical relevance, inspiring a new generation of sports law enthusiasts.
Beyond national borders, Tarun’s work has been showcased at prestigious international forums. He has participated as a speaker and panellist at the renowned International Sports Law Journal (ISLJ) Conference organized by the Asser Instituut in the Netherlands, and at the Sports Law and Policy Centre Symposium (SLPC) in Bengaluru, further cementing his reputation as a credible and respected voice in the global sports law community.
Tarun has also served as a member of the Board of Advisors for the Sports Law Review, India, contributing strategic insights to one of India’s leading publications on sports law issues. Throughout his career, Tarun has consistently emphasized the importance of connecting theoretical legal frameworks with the practical realities of the sports world.
