Timothy Kaija is a Sports Lawyer, a FIFA licensed agent and a badged sports safeguarding officer.
Timothy Kaija serves as a lecturer of law at Uganda Christian University, Kampala International University, and Kyambogo University where he inter-alia lectures Sports Law. He is the first author of a book on Sports Law in East and Central Africa. Timothy is a partner at Fitim Advocates, a sports & entertainment firm, and the managing director at Discovery Sports, a sports business firm. He further serves as the legal officer at KCCA Football Club.
He has worked on a number of high profile sports projects and instruction capturing entities such as the FA English Premier League, the (AII), African Games, the Olympic Games, the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, etc.
He is a member of CIArb, specializing in sports arbitration. He represented Fahad Bayo, the first Ugandan to win a case at the FIFA tribunal (against a European club), in International sports arbitration.
TK is also the Chairperson of the Young African Leaders in Sports (YALS) Forum, a body working under the African Union Sports Council.
